Farewell Don
17th April 2023
17 years to the day after he joined us on the shop floor, we said a very fond farewell to Don Esberger as he headed from the factory to the fairway and a very well-earned retirement, playing plenty of golf.
We presented him with a personalised Euroglaze tankard, a whisky decanter set and vouchers for a celebration meal.
Don was one of our very best welders and a really popular figure within the business – not just because of his precision craftsmanship but because he is a true gentleman. He was a stalwart at every team outing and every charity fundraiser and a real member of the Euroglaze family.
And, while Don won’t be working with us anymore, he’ll still very much be part of the family, not least because his son Andy (known affectionately as Beefy) is one of our shopfloor supervisors.
