As you may know we have been raising funds to try and hit our target of 10k as we are supporting Retina UK as this is the only charity dedicated solely to working for people affected by the inherited sign loss experienced by our Managing Director Martin Nettleton and his brother Simon. When Barnsley based fabricator Euroglaze launched what it called the ‘perfect’ range of composite doors for the trade towards the end of 2019, it was delighted with the response it got from customers. 15^th December 2019 - Taking on the Tour de Euroglaze

Forget the Tour de France or even the Tour de Yorkshire, the bike ride making all the headlines last month was the Tour de Euroglaze.

Staff, customers and suppliers at the Barnsley based trade fabricator completed a 1600km virtual bike ride covering the equivalent distance from Lands End to John o’Groats. They even added on an extra 100km when they reached the finish line so that they could head to a virtual pub for a well deserved drink! It was all in aid of Retina UK, which Euroglaze has adopted as its chosen charity in its 40th anniversary year and helped to raise around £1500.

Whereas previously new customers had to wait until they received a dongle key from Euroglaze pre-loaded with all their pricing data to place orders online, they can now simply log on directly to the Euroglaze Window Designer account via the cloud.

16^th July 2019 - Big Anniversary For Euroglaze

Barnsley based trade fabricator Euroglaze is celebrating both its 40th anniversary in 2019 and its 35th anniversary as a REHAU customer - setting something of a record in the UK. The company, which is still owned and run by the Nettleton family who founded it back in 1979, is REHAU’s longest running customer, having notched up 35 years of unbroken partnership.

21^st August 2018 - Euroglaze Welcomes Rehau’s Recycling Initiative

Euroglaze has become one of the first trade fabricators to start manufacturing windows using Rehau’s new co-extruded Total 70 profiles, which use a virgin skin around a 100% recycled core. The Barnsley based company says that, in the wake of Blue Planet II and the ongoing furore around the use and disposal of single use plastics, it is delighted to be able to promote a positive plastic recycling message out to its customers. Managing Director Martin Nettleton explained: “From the perspective of a PVC-U trade fabricator, Rehau’s switch to a sustainable co-extruded core for profiles in its Total 70 range couldn’t have come at a better time.

The REHAU Heritage window system is designed to incorporate all the desirable traditional features of a timber sash window, yet with all the additional benefits and conveniences of modern PVCu. 24^th April 2018 - Euroglaze Wins Praise For Quality

When a customer tells you that the windows you are supplying are the best manufactured they have seen in more than 20 years, then you know that you are probably dealing with the right fabricator. Trade stockist J3 Windows, based in Aberdare, South Wales started buying Rehau frames from Euroglaze when it set up in October last year, and the feedback from installers, builders and developers to the product quality has already been fantastic. A note from Euroglaze Managing Director on the start of the year so far. I think 2017 will finally be the year when the new breed of specialist trade resellers in the market fight back against the super fabricators who both supply them and effectively compete with them. Barnsley based REHAU fabricator Euroglaze has just renamed its back office order processing department ‘Customer Services’ in recognition of the fact that it is dedicated to making trade customers love the service that they receive. The new ‘Customer Services’ team comprises Rosie Micheli, Nicky Park and Janet Walker, with an additional customer service advisor to be appointed soon. 15^th September 2016 - Did The Great Fire of London Inspire The Fire Rated Door?

Over 350 years ago this September The Great Fire Of London occurred causing significant loss of life and damage to the city and its buildings. If the same event occurred today the fire would be resisted by many fire suppression and fire resistant technologies. One such technology is provided by Euroglaze in the form of a range of Fire Resistant Doors. A fire door is a door with a fire-resistance rating (sometimes referred to as a fire protection rating for closures) used as part of a passive fire protection system to reduce the spread of fire and smoke between separate compartments of a structure and to enable safe egress from a building.

13^th July 2016 - Special Generations Anniversary For Euroglaze

July 1996 was a very special time for Martin Nettleton, Managing Director at Euroglaze - not only was it the month that he joined his father at the Barnsley based fabricator but it was also the month that his son George was born. Now, 20 years on, Martin is celebrating his anniversary at Euroglaze with George at his side. Martin said: “George is working in the factory for a while helping to fabricate our REHAU trade frames before heading off to university, and being able to share my anniversary here with him definitely makes it that bit more special. I worked here alongside my Dad for several years and I know just how proud he would have been to see us now.”

8^th July 2016 - Colour Fashion Gives Window Specialist Painters A Boost

The fashion for non-white uPVC windows and doors is giving a boost to a Barnsley company that is a partner of Euroglaze, which has seen its turnover nearly double in the last year. Yorkshire Specialist Coatings can paint uPVC, timber and glass products any colour by spraying them in their workshop in Carlton. The company, which is being given free business support by Enterprising Barnsley, is seeing an increasing trend away from white uPVC.

A growing Barnsley company which manufactures windows and doors is celebrating a record-breaking month for sales as its income for May tops £500,000.
