Two New Directors Join The Euroglaze Board

2nd April 2022

REHAU’s longest standing fabricator, Euroglaze in Barnsley, has just made two new board appointments as it plans for the next stage in its growth. Glen Park has been appointed Operations Director and Emma Mitchell has been appointed Finance Director; and they are both now shareholders in what had been a family-owned business since 1979. Two New Directors Join The Euroglaze Board

Glen has been with the business for many years and has long been the driving force behind Euroglaze’s successful implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and philosophies. Emma joined the business in 2017 and has helped to oversee a significant investment in a new factory alongside the existing one. Martin Nettleton, the company’s Managing Director and son of the founder Alan Nettleton, explained that the move reflects the fact that Euroglaze has transitioned over recent years into an employee-based organisation, shaped and driven by an outstanding workforce.

He commented: “Glen and Emma have both shown extraordinary commitment, determination, and leadership, particularly over the past 2 years when we have pushed ahead with a major expansion programme despite the Covid crisis. The business was strong with them as part of the management team, but I think it’s even stronger now with both of them on the board. They will be helping to drive the strategic direction of the business and shaping the way that we move forward post-pandemic. Like many owner-managed SMEs in this industry, Euroglaze is at the point of planning for its future and I think expanding the board, rewarding talent from within and empowering others to help make decisions will make that future very exciting.”
